Medicare does not cover osteopathy as a general rule. If your GP places you on a Chronic Disease Management plan for an eligible ongoing condition, Medicare provides a rebate per allied health visit, up to 5 combined allied health visits per calendar year under that plan. Without a GP plan, osteopathy consults are paid privately, and many private health extras policies cover part of the cost.
